Your future is bright – wear Babiators!
Who We AreWe founded Babiators with the mission of building a company that can help provide a safe and secure future for our children. We act on this mission in three ways:

We want to protect children now, and help provide security for their future – but not just safety and security for their eyes! This is why we run a photo contest that will give away $1,000 in college education funding to the winner.
That’s right, we said $1,000. Invested in a college savings plan earning 8% interest a year, for a child who won the contest at 10 months old, this $1,000 can grow to nearly $4,000 by the time the child goes off to college. That’s some serious cash, and will help defray the costs for tuition, room, board, textbooks – you name it!
Our contest will run again in Spring 2012. To participate in the contest, all you’ll need to do is upload a photo (through our special contest link) of your child wearing his/her Babiators and doing something AWESOME! It’s as simple as that!

We support the work of the Children’s Eye Foundation by donating a portion of our profits to help support them in their mission to eliminate preventable blindness in children. Protecting children’s eyes from UV rays is important, but it’s even more important to make sure all children can see, and that no child suffers needlessly from preventable vision loss.
Each year more than four million babies are born in the United States. Of these children, approximately one in twenty requires the specialized medical expertise of a pediatric ophthalmologist to avoid permanent loss of vision. That’s 200,000 children in the U.S. alone who are born with, or who develop, serious vision problems. The two most common vision problems in these children are amblyopia and strabismus.
Amblyopia, or "lazy eye," is a common vision problem in children and is responsible for vision loss in more children than all other causes combined. Amblyopia is decreased vision that occurs when one or both eyes send a blurry image to the brain. The brain does not learn to see clearly. Amblyopia is often treated with a combination of eyeglasses and patching. Amblyopia not treated in a timely fashion may lead to permanent vision loss.
Strabismus refers to eyes that are out of alignment, or what most of us think of us “cross-eyed.” Treatment for strabismus can include eyeglasses, prisms in eyeglasses, patching, and eye exercises, but in many cases, treatment requires surgery. If left untreated, strabismus may result in amblyopia.
The Children’s Eye Foundation works to eliminate preventable blindness in children in the following ways:
